You will see your rival and will have to battle him.

After the battle, surf on the lake, and you will see a red Gyarados. Press A and you can battle it to catch it if you want.
- If you choose to battle, watch out for its Bite and Dragon Rage. They are very powerful moves.
He will say something and go away. Go back to town, and go into the house mentioned before. You will see Lance in there.
You will need to beat all of the Team Rocket grunts and the Team Rocket Boss (Giovanni).
The Gym Leader will be Pryce, who uses Ice Pokémon.
